And that’s a wrap!
As many know, we celebrated our beautiful daughter, Breanna’s, wedding in October. She married the handsome Mr. Aaron Rose in a stunning ceremony in Fort Bragg, CA. All guests rode the infamous Skunk Train through the redwoods to a gorgeous venue perfect for a perfect wedding! This is the last of our five to get married and we could not be happier to welcome Aaron into our tribe. We also appreciate our sweet assistant, Joyelle, who held down the fort, spoiled our customers appropriately and allowed us a little time away with family.
The only bad part to that story is that the weekend before the wedding, I tripped over Marc’s STUPID dog and broke my wrist. I was in a cast for the wedding. Ugh! I had surgery the following week and am facing a lengthy recovery. The miracle to that story is that both Marc and his STUPID dog are still alive.
So here we are at the beginning of the holiday season. I always like to take the opportunity in our November newsletter to express our gratitude to our precious wine club members and customers. To name just a few; Gena King – we appreciate your encouraging comments, Beth Holtan – thank you for sticking with us, Marlynne Keefe – your enthusiasm for everything is inspiring, Jim Vickerman – we are honored to share in your journey, Wayne Gravelle and Kristen – I smile when I see you at the door, Karen Padilla – thank you for loving my pugs, Corinne and Bill Hillman – you add joy to every visit, and to our “Cheers” group consisting of Norm and Dawn Worthen and Shari and Dom Parise – your friendship is such a blessing! Lastly, to our new wine club member, Mr. Charles Barney, a 92 year old Korean war veteran – thank you for your service and for your endearing charm. Truly, we appreciate all of you!
Some fun things are happening this month at the winery. Our last wine club pick-up party of the year is happening this Saturday, Nov. 2 from 1-4 p.m. We will be showcasing Brock’s new Rose Carignan – a perfect wine to serve with your Thanksgiving dinner! Additionally, we are bottling in the middle of the month and will be re-stocked with our long-awaited Barbera, Teroldego and Petit Verdot. We will also be offering our 1/2 off select case Black Friday sale once again. Details on that will follow.
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday surrounded by those you love and that you find a quiet moment to reflect on all of God’s blessings. And as always, thank you for your support of Twisted Barrel Winery!
Cheers,
Denise Warmerdam
