Last, but not least…..

As I have been doing these past few months, I am taking some time to introduce you to our family. We’ve showcased the other siblings and their families these last two months and now we’re on #5. Pictured above is our youngest, Brock, with his beautiful fiance’ Megan. Brock is the baby of our family. After the twins, we waited a while before we had Brock. When they start coming in twos, it scares you a bit!

As most of you know, Brock is our winemaker at Twisted Barrel Winery. He graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Enology and is currently a winemaker for Lange Twins Winery in Lodi. Megan is currently working on her Master of Science degree in Speech–Language Pathology at Idaho State University. You can also find her working as a server at our local Strings Restaurant. They are a dynamic couple and are busy planning their wedding to be held in Sutter Creek in September.

As I have shared, Brock is the one that rallied the family to purchase Twisted Barrel. He called me one summer day back in 2021 and said “Mom, would you be willing to give up all of your weekends to make my dreams come true?” I firmly said “absolutely not!” and hung up! And….. here we are!

When his time allows, Brock can be found working at the winery and loves to share his passion for wine with our customers. He also enjoys sharing barrel tastings of some new wines he is working on.

To celebrate the marriage of Brock and Megan, we will be having a special Firepit Friday on October 6 where we honor them and enjoy an evening of music by Brock’s favorite musical duo, “She Calls Him Wilson”. More details on that will follow, but please save the date!

Other happenings at the winery this month – we’ve got some exciting news regarding our website! We’ve been working on revamping the site for quite a while and the new website should be up and running next week. Check it out when you get a chance. And, we’d love any feedback you might have.

Also, we’ve got another Firepit Friday this Friday, June 2, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Because it’s cherry season, we’ll be offering some homemade cherry cobbler for anyone joining us. Stop by after work for a glass of wine! We continue to be open Thursday thru Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. each week and by appointment outside of those hours. As the weather heats up, we are showcasing our ever-popular Symphony in the tasting room. And, our popcorn bar continues to be a huge hit with everyone – our most popular flavor being our savory “dill pickle”!

As always, please know how much we appreciate your support of Twisted Barrel Winery. We hope you can stop by sometime soon!

Cheers,
Denise Warmerdam
