And then came the twins…

As mentioned in last month’s newsletter, I am taking a little time to introduce you to our family. Last month I talked about our oldest two, Brandon and Britnee and their families. This month I will introduce you to the twins! The twins were numbers 3 and 4 for us and have always shared a special bond. We did not know we were having twins until a couple of weeks before they arrived and they have kept everyone around them entertained since! Again, I hope this helps put some names with faces.

Pictured above on the top is Brett, his wife Lauren and their two precious boys. Brett designs and sells irrigation systems for Golden State Irrigation. Lauren is a professional chef and works for a prominent family in Sacramento. She is also a sommelier and is responsible for the tasting notes that accompany our wines at Twisted Barrel. Leonardo is 2 ½ years old and is an animal lover! He can spend hours chasing my chickens around the yard (still hasn’t actually caught one!). Little Lorenzo is just eight months old and developing quite the personality! Brett and Lauren live here in Lodi and help out at the winery as their time allows.

Also pictured above is our daughter, Breanna and her fiancé Aaron. Breanna is actually older (by two hours) than Brett, but that’s another story! Breanna is a PE teacher in the North Monterey County School District.. She is an awesome teacher and has some funny stories about trying to teach PE remotely during the Covid lockdowns. Aaron is a lineman for PG&E and has brought new meaning to concerns over major storms. He worked some extremely long hours this past winter and kept me praying for his safety! Aaron and Breanna usually work the check-in table at our wine club events, so many of you have met them. They are also expecting a little girl (our Grand #9!) at the beginning of September – and we can’t wait!

Okay, so that’s a little bit about the twins. At least for our family – that twin bonding thing is real! They are very close and talk everyday and we are proud of them and their families!

As for May at Twisted Barrel – things are heating up around here! We will be hosting another Firepit Friday on May 5 from 5-8 p.m. Since it’s Cinco de Mayo, we’ll be sharing some fun Mexican food treats that night at the winery. We’d love to have you stop by! For the next couple of weeks, we are bottling wine in the evenings so our back “over-flow” area looks a little different with all of the bottling equipment set up! It will all be put back together before Mother’s Day. We also continue to be open every Thursday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

As always, please know how much we appreciate your support of Twisted Barrel Winery. We hope you can stop by sometime soon!

Cheers,
Denise Warmerdam
