A part of the family……
As I’ve written these newsletters, I’ve tried hard to make all of you feel like part of our family. We’ve got a family portrait hung in our tasting room and many of you frequently ask me just who is who as far as our five kids. Each family invested in the winery and you will see them pouring wine as their time allows. You will also occasionally see “the littles” pop in and fill the tasting room with their joy, too. I thought I’d help associate some names with some faces.Pictured above on the left is our oldest son, Brandon, his wife Stephanie and their three precious little ones. Brandon is a Deputy Superintendent at Woodbridge Irrigation District. Stephanie is a Clinical Nurse Lead at Lodi’s Adventist Health Hospital. Their three are Emily, almost 8 yrs. old, Jozef, age 5 and little Esmee is a whopping 3 years old. Emily and Jozef attend The Academy here in Lodi and the three of them keep their parents busy with lots of activities! Brandon and Stephanie live just west of Lodi, and you will frequently see them working at the winery. Their specialty is hosting our Firepit Fridays! As a side note – they also have their own little fresh, organic egg business going and can be found on Instagram as “One Lane Homestead”.

Also pictured above is our next oldest, daughter Britnee and her husband Mike. They, too, have three little ones – Marcus, age 4; Aubrey, age 3 and little Linden who just turned one! Britnee and Mike met while obtaining their Master Degrees at President Bush Sr.’s school of Public Policy at Texas A&M University. They live in Texas where Mike is a Deputy District Attorney and Britnee works from home as a real estate appraiser along with the tough job of stay-at-home mom! They, too, are kept busy with their kids. Britnee also handles the books for the winery and is currently working to revamp our website. As many of you know, we try and visit them as often as we can, especially to celebrate birthdays and make birthday cakes!

Okay, so that’s a little bit about our oldest two of the five. I’ll share about the others in the upcoming months. As you can probably tell, we are proud of all of them!

As for the month of April at Twisted Barrel Winery – spring is in the air!! We will be celebrating another Firepit Friday on April 7 from 5-8 p.m. We will also be hosting our second wine club pick-up party for 2023 on Saturday, April 22 from 1-4 p.m. This pick-up will consist of our ever-popular Symphony, our 2018 Sangiovese and 2018 Syrah. We hope you can attend and bring a friend or two. We will feature some barbequed kabobs and pasta while listening to music from Dr. Bob Howen and his “First Street Band”. Should be an awesome day!

As always, please know how much we appreciate your support of Twisted Barrel Winery. We hope you can pop in and visit sometime soon!

Cheers,
